SUNYATA Hotel

SUNYATA Hotel

"SUNYATA" represents the "emptiness" in Buddhist enlightenment, aligning with the vision of reaching the "border of the heart." The building was crafted by young architect Zhao Yang, a disciple of Kengo Kuma, and incorporates Tibetan traditional architectural style. The interior design was completed by designer Xie Ke, conveying the beauty of the Wabi-sabi style.

Since you've escaped the hustle and bustle of the world, you should reside in the midst of natural scenery. The building is a renovation based on rammed-earth Tibetan houses, with a terrace on the top that provides a 360° panoramic view of Meili Snow Mountain. There are floor-to-ceiling windows on all sides, allowing you to watch the sunrise in the morning, admire the golden mountains as the mist dissipates, and gaze at the stars at night.

The hotel's 19 guest rooms are all themed around mountain living: 'Deep in the Forest,' 'Cloud Ridge Residence,' 'Elegant Mountain Abode,' 'Foggy Atop,' and 'Pastoral Cloud Abode.' They are furnished with simple and comfortable materials, well-placed furniture, and adorned with exquisite, unpretentious, and Wabi-sabi-style decor with enriched local culture .
