Why Did LAiPIC Break the Mold in Saudi Arabia and Attract Over 50 Million Users?

In Saudi, the Middle East, it's common to display numerous photo frames featuring family members or celebrities. What may seem like an ordinary practice has been transformed into a profitable business by LAiPIC.

According to market data, LAiPIC has captured a 20% market share in Saudi Arabia, with over 1 million registered users in the Middle East. Additionally, it has secured investments from the UAE. By bringing Chinese technology to Abu Dhabi, LAiPIC has created numerous B2B, B2G, and B2C solutions.

LAiPIC (LAIPIC) is a Chinese AIGC company and a leading platform for animation and digital human generation. Since its establishment in 2015, LAiPIC has leveraged its 18 million animation data assets to develop the proprietary SkinSoul animation model, successfully creating AI-powered animation and digital human generation tools.

The AI photo frame draws inspiration from Dubai’s iconic golden frames, combined with AI’s digital human generation technology. This fusion enables users to converse with anyone across the world, effectively recreating the talking photo frames seen in the Harry Potter films.

According to founder Wei Bo, the company began focusing on the Middle Eastern market in 2022, with efforts centered around three key strategic pathways:

1.       Product Localization and Cultural Alignment: Customization of the AI Photo Frame LAiPIC has tailored its AI photo frame product to the cultural and consumer habits of the Middle East, particularly addressing the emotional significance that Saudis place on photo frames. This product not only displays images but also leverages AI technology to facilitate interactive experiences with users. Supporting multiple languages, including Arabic, it meets the specific needs of local consumers. With the cultural tradition in the Middle East of hanging photos on walls, LAiPIC's AI photo frame aligns perfectly with this custom, making it an ideal decorative item for both homes and public spaces.

2.       Active Participation in Local Exhibitions and Business Partnerships: Showcasing at Key Events, LAiPIC’s initial step into the region was in the UAE, and with Saudi Arabia being the most populous country in the Middle East, the company quickly engaged with nearly 50 potential business partners in just a few days. LAiPIC has also forged partnerships with renowned local institutions and companies, such as collaborating with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology and other academic and research institutions in Saudi Arabia. These collaborations have significantly enhanced the brand’s influence and recognition in the Middle Eastern market.

3.       Efficient Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Addressing Logistics Challenges, The logistics infrastructure in the Middle East is relatively underdeveloped, particularly when it comes to last-mile delivery. LAiPIC has addressed this issue by partnering with local logistics companies, ensuring that products are delivered quickly and accurately to customers, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction. Integration with E-commerce Platforms: LAiPIC's products are not only sold on local e-commerce platforms but are also available through international platforms such as Amazon and Taobao, expanding product reach and accessibility to meet the diverse needs of consumers."

In 2022, LAiPIC chose the UAE as its first entry point into the Middle Eastern market, establishing its regional headquarters. Since then, LAiPIC's photo frames have forged partnerships with institutions like Dubai’s China-Arab TV and have even been presented as state gifts by the royal family to esteemed guests. With the surge in demand for digital humans, founder Wei Bo sensed the impending wave of transformation. Recognizing the potential, LAiPIC made a bold bet on digital humans, significantly increasing investment in research and development. Soon, the company revolutionized the industry with its ability to 'generate digital humans from a single photo,' lowering the barriers to digital human applications for both businesses and individuals. By early 2025, LAiPIC had already sold tens of thousands of units overseas.
